Lessons at Cassandra’s Home Piano Studio are designed to build student independence, focus, and confidence.
- Lessons are primarily one-on-one between the teacher and student.
- Students should be able to participate in a 30-minute lesson with basic readiness and cooperation.
- Consistent practice and parent support at home are essential for progress.
- The studio is best suited for students who are ready to follow simple directions and engage in structured activities.
Parents are welcome to quietly observe, but are asked not to participate, prompt, or redirect during the lesson.
If a student is not yet ready for this level of independence, I may recommend waiting or exploring a different learning setting that better fits their current needs.
My goal is to create a calm, focused environment where each student can develop skills and confidence at their own pace.

As this is a home piano studio, lessons take place in a relaxed family environment with one friendly resident cat named Cowboy.
Students will likely meet Cowboy, the studio assistant and occasional keyboard supervisor, whose responsibilities include sitting on sheet music, inspecting the piano bench, and sometimes adding unexpected “notes” to the lesson by strolling across the keys at the perfect dramatic moment.
Fortunately, all feline supervision is included at no extra charge 🙂
